Kaffir lime (scientifically "Citrus Hystrix") is a citrus of the genus "Citrus", but the origin has not yet been determined: some speak of lime mutation, others of a hybrid between cedar and lime. Plant with an incredible amount of thorns, with very fragrant flowers, the hystrix generates small fruits, with wrinkled peel, bright green in color and a strongly sour taste.
